I. General Questions X
=======================================================================================X
Q: What is a "pq"?
A: A pq is a short term for the word "party quest"
Q: What are party quests?
A: A party quest is a quest that you do with a party of other
players. A pq is done within a series of
maps that have obstacles, questions, and monsters to kill.
Q: What kind of party quests are there?
A: Currently in Maple Story, there are five different party quests.
Henesys PQ - Lvl 10
Kerning City PQ - Lvl 21-30
Ludibrium PQ - Lvl 35-50
Ludibrium Maze PQ Lvl 51-70
Orbis PQ - Lvl 51-70
Currently, only the kerning, ludi, and orbis pq is available in the english MS
versions. There are other party quests (such as the zakum, and guild quest).
However, this guide will focus on the main popular pqs.
Q: Are certain classes required for certain party quests?
A: Yes. In example, the Ludibrium party quest requires at least one theif with
dark sight, and a mage with teleport. For information on class requirements,
refer to the other guides on hidden street.
Q: What is a "track"?
A: A track is when people locate your position in maple story through the
/find command. To track someone, you type into the chat box,
"/find (put player name here)"
Q: When is the best time to PQ?
A: It depends on your game version. MapleSEA seems to have players all the
time. As for global, most players are from the US and will play during 2:30-10:00
PM pacific standard time. For the best times, i recomend you
play during the night and morning hours.

II. Starting/Joining a PQ X
=======================================================================================X
Part A. Starting a PQ
---------------------
If you are a lower level player, I suggest that you start your pqing by
being a pq leader. The reason for this is because many party leaders
do not want lower level players in their party. By being a pq leader,
you have the chance to actually do a pq, and you learn how to PQ as well.
To start a pq, one must be the leader of his/her party. After starting a
PQ, the leader must look for other players to PQ with. Many party leaders
will go to chnl 1 to recruit PQers.
When looking for people to PQ with, try to look for high level players. If
you have higher leveled players on your team, the easier and faster it will
be to finish the PQ. If your pq requires a certain class to finish, recruit that class as well.
In order to enter a pq, you must have a certain number of pqers in your
party, depending on your PQ. A player requirement is listed below...
Kerning PQ 4 people
Ludi PQ 6 people
Orbis PQ 6 people
Part B. Joining a PQ
-------------------
Higher level players can join pqs more easily than lower level players. If you
want a fast pq, i suggest you join a pq instead of start one.
For the majority of players that pq, they usually join other parties rather
than make their own. If you wish to join a PQ, go to chnl one and advertise
yourself. Make sure that you are not already in another party, as it is a pain in
the butt for pq leaders to try to recruit people that stay in other parties.
To advertise yourself, type in, "JOINING PQ!" ... and to make your self look
even cooler, type in how much damage you can do, and if you have had previous
pq experience, type in "exped pqer!" Overall, your sentance should say something
like, "JOINING PQ, 250 + DMG, EXPED IN PQs!"
When you are waiting for a party leader to invite you, make sure you put on
the best equips you have. Party leaders will consider adding you, and it will
give you a better chance of joining a PQ.
If you want a sucsesful party, try to join a party that has a track with them.
Otherwise, you and your party will only try to guesswork when to do the party
quest. If you want to provide your own tracks, refer to the tracking chapter below.

III.Tracking X
=======================================================================================X
Part A. Tracking as a PQ leader
------------------------------
Before you create a party, consider whether you have a track or not.
If you do not have a track, then you wont be able to quickly enter a pq,
thus resulting in wasted time and a crappy PQ experience.
Many people can aquire tracks by writing down the names of people in a
PQ area. You can still use this method... However, i have found this very
ineficient and time consuming.
Here is my strategy on sucsesful tracking. Screenshots. To "screenshot track",
go to every chnl and take a screenshot of all the people waiting for PQs. I have
found that this method is the most efficent method because it provides up to date
tracks. The downside of screenshot tracking is that you must wait for these players to
actually join a pq. If you have lots of time, it wont matter. It usually takes only
30 mineuts for a party to complete their PQ.
To get fast pictures, I use a program called "screenshot pilot". It definately
helped me with my tracking when I PQed. Of course, you can always use
the in-game screener to take your screenshots. If you want more tracks, I suggest
you screenshot every chnl so you can have more names to track.
After about 20 mins of taking your screenshots, you can start tracking!
To track your screenshots quickly, use the alt-tab shortcut to move between
the game, and your screens. Always track the easiest names of characters in
your screenshots first. That way, you wont have to waste time remembering
long annoying names.
If a track isnt in a pq or is still waiting for a pq, move onto the next screenshot
and track another name. Eventually, you will get a name that is in a pq. After
you get that track, start recruiting players and tell them the track. That
way, your recruited players will stay in your party, and not complain about not
having a track.
Avoid channels that have a lot a parties that are trying to enter. If you join a
populated channel, you risk the chance of not entering the PQ.
Part B. Tracking as a party member
---------------------------------
If you are a party member, the strategy for good tracking is not different. I would
still use the same screenshot tracking method. This is in case your party leader
does not have a track. If you want to have more tracks, take more
screenshots of differnt chnls. By doing this, you will stay up to date with players
that are online and pqing.

IV. Getting into the PQ X
=======================================================================================X
Part A. Getting in as a party leader
--------------------------------
If you already have a party, and a track, then you are good to attempt a pq entry.
First, get every party member into your channel. Then tell them to track constantly.
Especially if the party you are tracking is in the last stages of the party quest.
To get into the party, the leader must click on the party quest NPC to get in. If
there is another party in your same channel trying to get in, then you must rapidly
click on the NPC.
Many party leaders use the "move the window over the npc" simply because they think
its a good method . However, this method takes away half of your clicks reducing
your chances of getting into the pq by half.
My strategy is the "hold down the enter key" strategy. By Holding down the enter
key, you do not have to deal with pressing the ok button in the window. The enter
key naturaly closes the window giving you twice as many clicks giving
you a better chance to get in the PQ
To do this method, click the npc, and the window will pop up. Without moving the
window, press the enter button and keep holding it their. I usually have my sister
to hold down the enter key for me =P. When they are not available, I jam
it with a pen, a twist-tie, or anything else that will keep the enter key pressing.
If you want to click quickly, get your body in a comforable position that will allow
you to click faster. When the party is outside(for kerning pq) or is in the bonus
stage (ludi pq), jam the key, and start clicking immediately. If you are sucsesful,
you should be in the pq between 10-20 seconds after clicking. If not, search
up another track from your screenshots and repeat the process.
Part B. Getting in as a member.
------------------------------
When you have your party organized and your track in place, then you are
ready to attempt an entry.buy maple story powerleveling As a member of your pq, your party leader is counting
on you to track. Make sure to tell your leader when to start clicking at the
appropriate time, as your leader will be to busy concentrating on clicking, instead of
tracking. If you fail to enter, look up another track and repeat the process above.
=======================================================================================X
V. Avoid being tracked X
=======================================================================================X
If you want to do more than just one PQ, you must try to avoid being tracked by
other players. Noone can take your PQ, if you arnt being tracked.
To avoid being tracked, you can hide behind an NPC. If you are doing the kerning
pq as a party member, then hide behind the gachapon machine. Although you might
see yourself standing in front of the machine, other players wont.
People will not be able to see you unless they look very carefully. If you are the party
leader, you must stay nearthe PQ NPC. If you want to avoid being tracked by others,
hide behind the PQ NPC or the item sythesizer NPC. That way, players will still know
that you are there, but will not be able to take your name.
If you want to be even more sneaky as a member, you can go randomly anywhere
in kerning city (as long as you are in the city). That way, scouters will think its clear,
giving you a better chance to take that chnl from thier unsuspecting party.
As for the ludi and orbis pq, people will always know that you are there. In this case,
both the leader, and the members should hide behind the Party Qquest NPC. Others
will know that you are there, but wont be able to see what
your name is.
Avoid using the "to all" chat. I have seen too many players accidentely give
out tracks because of this simple mistake. If you accidently do, other parties will be
able to see your name in the chat box and be able to track you. Use the
party chat as much as possible and if necessary, use the whisper chat.
